The 50th Annual Graeagle Independence Day Parade Committee invites you to participate in our 2024 Parade. For all who have participated in past parades, we again thank you for being a part of this area’s event.

Our Parade is held the first Sunday of July. This year the first Sunday is July 6th.

The Parade is informal and hosts from 50 to 70 entries.

The theme this year is our “50th Anniversary.” We hope that you can incorporate the theme into your entry with decorations, costumes, or music.

Online registration closes on Thursday, July 4th @ noon.

Check-in will begin at 11:30 AM on July 6th in Goldridge Estates.

ENTRY DONATION: $30.00 (Free for emergency medical and fire protection providers)

THEME: “50th Anniversary”

ASSEMBLY: Registration and assembly will begin at 11:30 AM on July 6th in Goldridge Estates (Highway A14), Blairsden, one-half mile off Highway 89.

STARTING TIME: Parade will start promptly at 1:00 PM

KIDS ON BIKES: (Do not have to pay an entry fee or pre-register.) Enter them in the Britton Memorial Bike Brigade at the Movin’ West RV Park. Kids MUST wear a helmet to participate. Bikes will be decorated at Movin’ West. Parents must NOT leave their cars at Movin’ West.

DISPERSAL: Entries will maintain the order of march as assigned at the assembly area. Maintain 20 yards between entries. DO NOT STOP OR LEAVE THE PARADE LINE UNTIL YOU REACH THE DISPERSAL AREA. At the conclusion of the parade (when you reach the DISPERSAL AREA) please return all floats, off road vehicles, and parties riding on a vehicle, immediately back to the initial staging area. Parties riding in the bed of pickups or ATVs operated on the roadways, not immediately returning to the staging, area can be cited by the CHP.

NO POLITICAL FLAGS OR SIGNS. USA AND OFFICIAL STATE FLAGS ONLY. (This does NOT mean the state of Jefferson.) If you display a non approved flag after the parade has begun you will not be welcomed back.

SAFETY: THERE WILL BE NO THROWING OF CANDY OR OTHER ARTICLES FROM THE PARADE ENTRIES.
The throwing of any item, including water, causes a safety hazard to children and violates our permit agreement with the highway department and our insurance. ITEMS MAY BE HANDED to the crowd from the entries walking along the edge of the crowd line, as long as it does not cause the crowd to come out into the roadway and path of the parade.

DOGS: If dogs are included in your entry, please take care to protect their paws from contact with the pavement & be prepared to provide them with water before & during the parade.

The deadline to enter is 7/4/24 at noon.
